Some June Favorites
By mid-June many of our favorite flowering shrubs, vines, and perennials are in flower. In addition, some of the annuals we seed or plant are past the possibility of cold damage, filling in flower beds and borders. More emerge each week. A few of these are shared here.
Some of our favorites are columbine (Aquilegia sp.), crane’s-bill (Geranium sp.), and Idaho blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium idahoense). Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
We have some vines that are now flowering, including clematis, honeysuckle, and climbing rose. Shared here are also Red Umbrella Meadowsweet (Filipendula rubra), Mock Orange (shrub), and Coralbells (Heuchera sp.).
And, a few more – Penstemon, Gazania, Peony, and Pincushion Flower (Scabiosa sp.)
